The Coolum Peregian Amateur Swimming Club operates from the Coolum Aquatic Centre along the David Low Way and was established to give local swimmers a platform to swim competitively. The general motto of the Club is - “To provide swimmers with the framework, support and encouragement to reach their goals.” The Club has a proud history over a long period, having nurtured many State and National representatives.
The mission of the Coolum Peregian Amateur Swimming Club Inc is to provide a receptive facility where swimmers can be nurtured and progressed as the individual develops. To provide an outlet where members can participate and accomplish their own goals whether competitive or non-competitive. The club endeavours to reward all participants and supporters. Success is measured by the amount of enjoyment and physical pleasure displayed by the swimmer.
Club nights are a fun filled Wednesday evening in the summer months from September to March from 6pm at the Coolum/Peregian Pool. Each week, swimmers have a 25 metre or 50 metre race in each discipline, followed by a special race, which may be a relay or longer race. There is a sausage sizzzle put on by volunteers.
